Video Remote Interpreting (VRI)
Video Remote Interpreting (VRI) is an internet based service that uses devices such as your computer’s webcam and microphone as an interface for interpreting services. This is done through a remote connection to an interpreter in order to effectively facilitate communication for both parties.
In Person Interpreting
On-site interpreting means the interpreter is present in the same room as Deaf and hearing individuals, which allows for a more direct line of sight of the interpreter for those in the room; for a medical appointment, a home closing or business meeting.
Trilingual Interpretation ASL/English/Spanish
A trilingual Interpreter is an interpreter who facilitates communication among three different languages. In the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community, this is generally defined as working between American Sign Language (ASL), English, and Spanish language.
